Hi Zenith Catcher,

“The moment you take responsibility for everything in your life is the moment you gain the power to change anything.” – Hal Elrod

I used to blame external things for my problems—people, circumstances, even bad luck. But here’s the hard truth: wherever you place blame, you give away your power.

Imagine a friend who’s stuck in his career, frustrated and feeling like everything is working against him. He blames his boss for not recognizing his efforts, his industry for being too competitive, and even the economy for making it harder to get ahead. But then, something clicks.

One day, he realizes that as long as he blames external things, he has no control. So, he flips the script. He focuses on what he can change. He builds new skills, explores new opportunities, and takes charge of his growth. Eventually, he lands a role that pays more and gives him more freedom. Nothing external changes—he does.

Here 3 Action Steps to Take More Responsibility:

  1. Notice where you place blame. Who or what are you blaming for something in your life?
  2. Flip the script. Ask yourself, What part of this do I control?
  3. Take a small action. Change what’s within your reach today.

The good news? When you blame yourself, at least you have the power to do something about it.

“Where we place the finger of blame is also where power flows. So, if you blame your parents for your life, your parents have power over your life. If you blame your boss for your bad life, your boss has power over your life. If you blame you for your bad life, at least you can change you, and you can do something about it.” – Alex Hormozi

Own the blame, own the power.

Nicola

Inspiring Things This Week:

Podcast: Elon Musk, the richest man on earth, recently had a conversation with Joe Rogan, and one part that stood out was their discussion on AI. Musk believes AI is accelerating at a rate no one is ready for and could outthink humans entirely within the next five years. He sees AI not just replacing jobs but reshaping civilization itself. While it might already be too late to regulate it effectively, he still believes it can be a force for good. Click here to listen to the episode.

Business Hack: The hack to get to product-market fit is to have experienced the problem you’re solving yourself. You’re your own customer and can understand the pain a customer is going through by heart. Ideally, you’re in love with the idea/problem.

Quote of the Week:

“Skills are the gold of the 21st century.”

– Robert Greene, American author (e.g., The 48 Laws of Power)
