Hi Zenith Catcher,

Back in 2022/2021, I read a book called Solve for Happy: Engineer Your Path to Joy by Mo Gawdat. In it, the author outlines his blueprint for a happy and fulfilled life.

One of the key learnings I got from this book was that we are not our thoughts. Let me explain.

Many of us experience this little voice in our heads constantly chattering and coming up with weird thoughts. We might wonder if this is really us coming up with such garbage.

Gawdat says the opposite. The voice that speaks in your head is not you. We shouldn’t identify with what our mind says any more than we identify with what someone on the street says.

This was one of the most liberating realizations I had.

Nowadays, whenever I have weird thoughts, I remind myself that thoughts are worthless. All that matters is action. In other words, you can have bad intentions, thoughts, whatever, and still do good for the world.

Sometimes, I even make jokes about these odd thoughts I have. Knowing that this isn’t me is such a relaxing feeling.

I hope that helps. I wish you a great start to the new week.

Nicola

Inspiring Things This Week:

Tool: As someone who values an organized and clean environment, I’ve used a screen cleaner for the past 3 years to keep my MacBook, iPad, and iPhone clean. This one is called Mistify and is one of the rare ones that doesn’t leave streaks on the screen when I clean it. Click here to check it out.

Book: The best book I’ve read on generating leads is $100M Leads by Alex Hormozi. What I love about this book is that it’s written in simple language and is based on practical business knowledge rather than theoretical concepts. So, if you’re a business owner struggling to get leads or want even more, read this book. It delivers. Click here to check it out.

Quote of the Week:

“The world belongs to those who can keep doing without seeing the result of their doing.”
