Hi Zenith Catcher, “Where focus goes, energy flows. And where energy flows, whatever you’re focusing on grows. In other words, your life is controlled by what you focus on. That’s why you need to focus on where you want to go, not on what you fear.” – Tony Robbins
Recently, I had several deep conversations about politics and current issues. These conversations made me realize something important: sometimes, spending too much energy on things we can’t control can distract us from areas where we can make a real difference. If I put my time and effort into being a productive employee or building a successful software business, I believe I could make a bigger positive impact in the world. This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t talk about tough topics, but it does mean we should be mindful about where we direct our energy. This idea reminded me of something from Stephen Covey’s book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”
Covey talks about two circles:
The best way to be effective is to focus your energy on your Circle of Influence.
When you do this consistently, your influence grows, and you’re able to create positive changes in your life and the world around you. I hope this helps. Inspiring Things This Week:Video: How do you make a good decision? I have always had this question, but for a long time, I couldn’t find a practical framework until I discovered a video by Sam Ovens, founder of skool.com, the fastest-growing community platform. It’s worth a watch. Click here. Reflection: How do you reflect on the day? Point out 1 thing you’re proud of and 1 thing you could do better. I have done this reflection routine for the past five years at the end of each day, and it has worked great. Quote of the Week:“If you decide that you are not justified in your resentment of Being, despite its inequity and pain, you may come to notice things you could fix to reduce even by a bit some unnecessary pain and suffering.”
